There are countries where crops are gathered several times a year without any special techniques. But in Russia we adapt to weather conditions and at times we have to work very hard to get just one harvest. To protect plantings and to increase crop yields there exist a lot of technologies, agronomic methods and materials. A widely used solution has been the polyethylene film. This method, however, has a number of significant drawbacks: the appearance of condensation, the need to ventilate plantings; arcs or supports are required; the material needs to be removed for watering or weeding; plants get burns in the sun; the film does not protect from recurrent frosts. Progress does not stand still, and now there are more advanced covering materials at the Russian market.
The Agrotex covering material is an unwoven fabric the purpose of which is to create a microclimate with optimally maintained temperature, even precipitation distribution and constant air circulation. Unlike polyethylene, the unwoven material helps resolve at a time numerous problems that prevent obtaining big harvests. One of the problems is the protection of perennial plants in winter and spring from low snow periods, early thaws and sudden temperature changes.
The Agrotex mulching material does not interfere with the natural growth of plants and promotes earlier maturation and increased yield of vegetables and fruits. At the same time, it stops the growth of unwanted plants and weeds (up to 90 per cent), which excludes the cost of mechanical or manual weeding.
Thanks to our joint work with agricultural institutes, we have experimentally identified indicators of the effectiveness of the use of all Agrotex materials in the cultivation of various crops. Together with scientific research institutes, we have adapted all application technologies for each region. For example, the use of one of our technologies made it possible to increase the yield of potatoes and beets by 12.9 to 29 per cent and reduce the harvest time from 60 to 46 days. Now this technology will allow many businesses to get early harvests, the cost of which is an order of magnitude higher than the price of planned harvests.
Russia has a unique resource – lands with a powerful potential, which is yet to be fully revealed, but there are already bold business people who use up-to-date materials that increase crop productivity. Agrotex а is fully manufactured and packaged in the Tver region in Russia, which excludes the possibility of purchasing low-quality materials or those that are not adapted for Russian conditions.
