The season has begun. However, it is still early to put young plants in open ground, particularly heat-loving cucumbers, peppers and egg-plants. It would be a pity to lose seedlings you have grown with your own hands or even purchased because of recurrent frosts or other vagaries of weather, wouldn’t it?
To save seedlings and get an early harvest, plantings need to be protected. Colour unwoven materials are excellent for this purpose. By using the white and red, red and yellow, white and black, and yellow and black Agrotex, you will not only save the plants, help them take root quickly, but will also cut down your expenses.
Both strong and “breathing”, the Agrotex two-colour covering and mulching materials create a favourable microclimate for plant growth. When used as a complex, they give the best result, ensuring full protection of plants.
Preserving the heat accumulated during the day, the two-colour covering materials make it possible to save on watering and to avoid the appearance of condensate and thus they prevent the appearance of rot and damping-out that kill plants. Under this cover, fixed on greenhouse arcs or frame, plants get the required amount of scattered light and protection of sun burns; they are not damaged by bright sunrays and do not become drawn.
In addition, the white and red covering material gives plants the red light of the spectrum, which speeds up growth, stimulates early blossoming and increases crop yields. This allows gardeners to receive an additional income from the reaping and sale of an early harvest.
As for the red and yellow covering material, it not only accelerates growth but also protects from pests. The outside red layer ensures the light spectrum that stimulates growth, while the inner yellow layer takes on itself insects. This helps not only increase herbage and protect plants from adverse factors, but also save on means to control pests and even completely abandon the use of chemicals.
The unwoven mulch is used both on open ground and in greenhouses. It makes weeding redundant throughout the season, protects crops from contacting soil, helps plants take root quickly, get stronger, grow well and bear fruit. This makes it possible not only to obtain a harvest 5 to 10 days earlier, but also to gain an additional profit from the sale of fruits and berries of excellent marketable condition.
The two-colour mulching materials have additional advantages. For example, the white and black mulching material not only keeps back weed growth, but also protects plantings from overheat and burns. The upper white layer reflects direct sunrays, not letting them damage leaves and stems, while the lower black layer absorbs sunlight, warming the soil and holding back weed growth.
The yellow and black material reliably protects plants from insect-pests. The upper yellow layer takes on itself pests, allowing gardeners to give up using chemicals and obtain a harvest of excellent commercial quality, which can be sold at a higher price.
