The mat, made from composite materials, will become your reliable assistant in growing seedlings and in everyday life, as a simple system of auto watering for indoor plants.
The mat has 2 outer layers: black (lower) and white (upper), as well as an inner absorbent layer, which absorbs and evenly distributes water on the surface and then gradually gives it off, saturating plants with moisture. This excludes stagnation of water at the roots, and the dirt formed during watering does not fall on the windowsill.
The mat can be used in boxes or pallets that do not have drainage holes; it must be soaked with water before use and then laid with the light side up. Also, you can grow seedlings on the mat by putting cups with holes or peat tablets on it. Constant contact with a wet mat will not allow young plants to dry out, but it will not create a threat of rotting, since water during irrigation will be distributed more correctly, and the roots will suck up water in the right amount when needed.
