Everything is good in its season, but we always want it earlier…
When it is January, there is still time to prepare for the beginning of a new season. In fact, a lot of time! Spend it productively: learn how to plant out early seedlings and get a harvest 1.5-2 months earlier than the usual time.
Young plants are set in warmed-up soil, and therefore the seeding time is usually adapted to specific climatic conditions. However, the process can be accelerated, and thanks to this, you can get several harvests a year. Today it is particularly important for both farmers and allotment gardeners, isn’t it?! So, if you dream of a big harvest of tomatoes, read this article to the end!

Black color and foil – say yes to warmth
The black foil-coated mulching material is not only a means to protect plants from weeds and pests, but also a very good means to warm up soil. For everyone knows that the black colour attracts sunrays and, accordingly, warmth.
The black foil-coated mulching material warms up soil even better. This will happen earlier, and, moreover, the silvery layer will reflect light onto young plants, which will help them grow faster.
The pictures show our experiments in growing different heat-loving crops with the use of various unwoven materials. The test site is in the town of Toropets. Our employees do not spend time on weeding; they water plants less often and get a good harvest.
Protection from cold
The problem of cold and return frosts can be resolved with the use of covering materials. In addition to the traditional covering material of different density meant for simple covering and covering with arcs, Agrotex manufactures materials for framed greenhouses.
To obtain an early harvest, frames and arcs can be covered with the thick Agrotex laminated material (80).
Get a double effect
Use the two-layer covering material with foil-coated stripes on the inner layer. These stripes reflect sunlight onto plants, increasing their growth and development speed, while the main unwoven payer excludes the appearance and accumulation of condensate and maintains the optimal microclimate, as it passes through water and air.
The pictures show the results of the experiments in growing tomatoes under this material, which were conducted in the climate of the Tver region (in the town of Toropets).
People often ask if seedlings can be planted out even earlier, particularly in case of flower seedlings.
The answer: if desired, you can always equip your greenhouse with additional heating and lighting. The advantage of such a greenhouse is its round-the-clock operation. Unlike greenhouses with the polyethylene film, greenhouses with unwoven materials “breathes”, i.e. it is ventilated naturally, which is a very important factor in plants’ adaptation to open ground.
