We have been saying that Agrotex 42 ensures optimum conditions thus enabling better plant development and higher crops. Also, that the material protects from recurrent frosts, burns, temperature drops, precipitation and insects. And these are not just words. All these statements have been confirmed by research of the leading scientific centers that have been making tests in various climate areas.
For example, the Tulagino secondary school named after P.I. Kochnev conducted a test in Yakutsk. It is well known that the city is located in a permafrost zone. Its extreme continental climate is characterized by hard winters with the average temperature varying around -40o C and sharp temperature drops between day and night in summer with the freezing probability persisting throughout the whole season.
The test made by the Yakutsk colleagues has shown that a dill crop covered by Agrotex 42 has grown by 20% while the green height has increased by 50%.
Another test of a higher scale was conducted by the branch of the federal agency Gossortkomissiya in Sverdlovskaya region. It included the covering of 20 tomato varieties and 10 cucumber varieties inside a greenhouse.
There was a testing site without any cover and several sites where the ground was mulched with black Agrotex 60 or white-black Agrotex 60, while the seedlings were covered with white Agrotex 42.
The test showed that the uncovered plants developed burns, while the covered plants had no damage at all. It was also proved that the use of Agrotex caused a crop gain and a decrease in offspring loss. More specifically, the uncovered site yielded 6.75 kg/m2 of tomatoes and 17.9 kg/m2 of cucumbers, while the site covered with Agrotex yielded 7.35 kg/m2 and 18.1 kg/m2, correspondingly.
Still another test was carried out by Krasnoyarsk branch of the federal agency Gossortkomissiya, where water melons of Ogonyok variety were grown. According to the test result, the uncovered site yielded 16 hundred kilograms per hectare, while the site covered with Agrotex 42 yielded 182 c/ha.
The federal agency Federalny Nauchny Tsentr Ovoshevodstva also made a test. According to the test results, the crop of Donskoy tomatoes increased by three times with Agrotex 42 material and Agrotex 60 mulch used. For example, the uncovered site yielded 2.5 kg/m2 of tomatoes, while the site covered with Agrotex yielded 8.62 kg/m2.
The tests mentioned above show that the use of Agrotex 42 provides
– protection against recurrent frosts,
– protection against temperature drops;
– protection against burhs;
– crop increase.
Moreover, working together with Agrotex mulching materials, it enables decrease in watering frequency and expenditure on pesticides.
